The Plucking Misfits are a group of like-minded ukulele players along with a tea-chest bass player and cajonist, who got together 18 months ago and have since played around many Portsmouth pubs and at local festivals. This summer they appeared at The Victorious Festival on Southsea Seafront. They do it for fun and to raise money for charity and everyone knows the songs they play. With a repertoire of contemporary rock and pop covers played by this ukelele mini-orchestra, it’s all about putting a big smile on people’s faces. And trust us, after a few ales down your neck you won’t just be smiling you’ll be belting out the numbers too!
