Since he strummed his sister’s tennis racquet at the age 10, performance has never been out of Shep Woolley’s life. A sailor for 16 years he entertained at every port his ship visited and when he dropped his anchor for the last time, life ‘On The Boards’ was the only road to take.
60 years later he’s still on that road and still writing and performing with the same verve and vigour that he had when it all began. A radio presenter, producer, actor, sea song singer and poet, he’s made 6 albums and performed all around the world.
His musical route travels through folk, country and comedy songs, shanties and a little acoustic Rock & Roll thrown in for good measure. We can’t wait to welcome him on stage at this year’s Christmas Sessions!
