We’re Back This Christmas!
Excitement is building for the next hosting of the Portsmouth Christmas Beer Festival at Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 15th & Saturday 16st December 2017.
Festive Beers will be featured from local breweries as well as from around the UK. A large variety of ales will feature to suit the season, but fear not there will still be a fine selection of the regular favourites to choose from.
The Craft Beer bar will return with a host of top quality draught beers from some of the country’s top breweries. “The rise of craft beer has been phenomenal over the past few years, and it’s something we had to include in our offering. We like to be able to offer all the traditional hallmarks of a beer festival, but with the addition of the modern expectations of the discerning beer drinkers. The choice nowadays is huge and we like to celebrate that at Portsmouth Beer Festival as much as possible”.
Brand new additions for 2017 will see a gin bar added to the Christmas edition of the beer festival.  With a wide-ranging audience demographic and an ever-increasing female attendance, we’ve stretched our range to cater for a big variance in tastes. The Prosecco bar has been very well received in past events and will be returning to feature alongside the brand-new wine bar.  Gin has also seen a huge rise in popularity in recent times and made it’s debut back at the May Beer festival with different long mix drinks available as well as the good old fashioned Gin & Tonic. The Gins will be served with all the matching botanicals and mixers with a Gin expert on hand to advise the perfect pours!
This year sees The Thunder Foundation return as the chosen charity. The Thunder Foundation was set up in 2012 by Raad Swais to raise awareness of the daily struggles which some of the poorest children in Kenya face in order to survive.
We’ll have another outstanding line up of live music, all to be announced shortly!
And finally there will also be the usual foodie favourites to help wash down the beers including a hog roast, BBQ and pizza!
Cheers!
