Mottainai is a Japanese term conveying a sense of regret concerning waste. We’ve taken Kanpai’s waste product, known as Kasu, and used it as as a primary fermentation agent. The result is a dry and complex lager, with umami and citrus notes. We are really proud of this creation and look forward to you all trying it!

Take on a California Common/Californian Steam. A hybrid between ale and lager as uses lager yeast. Hoff pours a crystal clear reddish brown colour with a thick off-white head. The taste is caramel malty backbone followed swiftly by subtle fruit and a touch of hop bitterness settling back into a refreshing amber lager finish

Burning Sky Brewery – Saison L’Ete – 4.2%

Saison L’ete was brewed with fresh elderflowers, picked from the hedgerows around the brewery. After fermentation, it was aged on whole gooseberries. Which combined with our blend of saison and wild yeast strains gives a tart, thirst quenching taste – perfect for the summer.

Castle Rock’s “ice maiden”! Snowhite is a very pale and very refreshing ale with a delicate and distinctive hop character.

Chorlton Brewing Co – Passionfruit Brett Sour 5.5%

Medium bodied sour pale ale, brewed with100% pale malt, hopped with Bramling Cross and flavoured with natural passion fruit extract. Conditioned with wild yeasts that complexity will develop with ageing.

Courage – Directors 4.8%

Originally brewed at Alton Brewery in Hampshire in 1903 for the Courage directors; spare beer was sold as Alton IPA, which acquired the nickname of Director’s Bitter.  Full bodied with a clean, bitter taste, balanced with a sweet burnt, malty and fruity notes with a distinctive dry-hop aroma and flavour.

Malty aroma with toasty caramel flavour. True to style with a delicate hop aroma and a well-balanced bitterness.

    Can the organisers confirm that this will be a 100 per cent real ale festival, please? I’ve heard that some of the beers will be keg.

    Hello! We are mainly a cask ale festival featuring over 120 casks. There will be a very small keg offering this year as well as some ciders and bottled beers. Hope this clears things up?
